Since 2006, Lancaster Library been the home and birthplace of Get it Loud in Libraries.
The site has a chequered past including coaching inn, police and fire stations, before the library was opened in 1932 and there are still several period features from that era dotted around.
Following a Big Lottery funded refurbishment, the library reopened in December 2009, now able to offer more dynamic and flexible community spaces.
